Riot Games Announces Symphony of Light as the Next Chapter of Sentinels of Light Campaign

Riot Games will be hosting the Symphony of Light concert on 31 July at 8pm GMT (4am on 1 August Malaysian time) as part of the company’s first multi-game campaign, the Sentinels of Light. The Symphony of Light is a unique orchestral music experience that marks the beginning of the next stage of the campaign as the Sentinels face the greatest threat to Runeterra yet - the Ruined King.

For the soundtrack, Riot is collaborating with Singapore’s fully-independent professional

symphony orchestra Fuse. The renditions of the songs are played on traditional instruments from Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, and Philippines as a tribute to the diverse Riot community in Southeast Asia.

The Symphony of Light will be livestreamed on Facebook, Youtube, and Twitch on 1 August at 4am local time. A recording of the event will be made available on Youtube, Spotify, and Apple Music afterwards.

Riot has also invited top regional influencers Buunja and Kurohiko to join the event with custom made Sentinels of Light kalimbas (a musical instrument with a wooden soundboard and metal keys).

Sentinels of Light is Riot’s most recent major franchise event that kicked off on 8 July. The event is running on League of Legends, League of Legends: Wild Rift, Legends of Runeterra, Teamfight Tactics, and VALORANT. Meanwhile, Symphony of Light is Riot’s latest musical project following the release of the All Out EP in November last year as well as the release of Sessions: Vi earlier this month.
