Sony is reportedly working on what appears to be a PlayStation controller for mobile gaming although it looks quite similar to other third-party mobile controllers in the market. According to VGC, the company's Japanese division has published a patent that describes a mobile controller that holds mobile devices with both left and right handles looking like a PS4's DualShock 4.

When the device becomes available, we can expect mobile gamers to access PlayStation games via Remote Play. The patent filing also describes the setup used with a TVattached with what seems to be a console.

On another news, Sony appointed former Apple Arcade content boss Nicola Sebastiani to lead the company's mobile operations in October. Sony's CEO, Jim Ryan also confirmed that the platform is planning to bring some of its iconic IP to mobile.
