Transformers in PUBG MOBILE's Version 3.9 Update is... More Than Meets the Eye!

ree

PUBG MOBILE has launched its Version 3.9 Update, introducing exciting new features available now until September 2. Highlights include a TRANSFORMERS-themed mode, an updated Metro Royale: Zombie Uprising, a new Ranked Arena event, and various gameplay improvements.

TRANSFORMERS Collaboration

Version 3.9 of PUBG MOBILE introduces an epic TRANSFORMERS-themed mode starting July 8, where players can summon Optimus Prime or Megatron using the Cybertron Beacon and collect Energon to upgrade their abilities. These iconic robots can switch between vehicle and robot forms, each with unique skills like Optimus’s Charge Slam or Megatron’s Triple Fusion Blast.

When the two meet, a special duel arena appears in Erangel. Players can also choose between Team Optimus Prime or Team Megatron, complete missions for exclusive rewards, and enjoy themed items like the Cosmic Hoverboard, supply packs, and special animations. More TRANSFORMERS content arrives July 18.

Going Cyberpunk

The Version 3.9 Update adds Neon Outpost, a vibrant cyberpunk-themed area available on Erangel, Livik, and Sanhok. It features three main zones: a timed boxing ring for intense fights, a futuristic black market with unique shops, and an energy hub where players can ride robots. At its center is the Astro Den, a close-combat melee arena accessed via portals, where players use limited weapons, respawn without penalty, and compete for rewards. Solo players can also battle bots in the Outskirts for additional prizes.

Metro Royale Updates

Socialise at the 3D Hub

Version 3.9 brings major upgrades to Metro Royale's Zombie Uprising mode, introducing a tiered monster system, enhanced player progression, and hatchable creatures. Players can collect energy orbs to level up, defeat bosses for genetic codes, and hatch their own powerful bosses. New features include elite supply crates, a hackable Portable Experiment Server, a Battleground Merchant, incubation air drops, and more. A rare gold melee weapon can also be earned by defeating zombies or marked bosses—this weapon has unique traits, carries over between seasons, and remains even if players fail to evacuate.

The Ultimate Competition

The Version 3.9 Update introduces Ranked Arena, a limited-time competitive mode running from July 24 to September 2. Players can access it via the Ranking tab and climb 28 skill-based tiers—from Bronze to the top-tier Ace—by competing in randomized Ranked matches like Team Deathmatch, Hangar Assault, and Domination Town. Climbing the ranks unlocks exclusive rewards, including a limited-time Title for top players.

World of Wonder Additions

A brand-new item, the Paint Gun, lands in World Of Wonder in Version 3.9, letting players not only inflict damage but also splash color across the battlegrounds — and their enemies — adding a playful twist to the action. The fearsome Ice Dragon Boss also makes its debut, delivering dynamic attack patterns and bringing a refreshing chill to the hot summer.

New Guns and Interactions Arrive in Classic Mode

Version 3.9 brings fresh updates to Classic Mode, including new weapons like the ASM Abakan, a versatile 5.56mm rifle with multiple firing modes. Players can enjoy interactive pre-match plane cabin scenes, enhanced motorcycle and bicycle mechanics, and the new DSR sniper rifle from air drops. Sniper rifles now have dedicated barrel extenders for increased damage, while attachments and training mechanics have been rebalanced for a more refined gameplay experience.

Mancala in Home Mode

Version 3.9 adds new fun to Home Mode with the introduction of Mancala. Players can buy a Mancala Game Table using Home Coins, play solo or with friends, and complete missions for rewards. The update also brings sleek Arcadia Haven-themed décor and a new Home Parking Lot feature, where players compete for top parking spots at friends’ homes and earn big in the process.

New Season Kicks Off

Version 3.9 kicks off Cycle 9 Season 25, introducing new legendary items, updated season rewards, and refreshed Event Shop content. Alongside new Season Events, both Classic and Casual Seasons offer new tier rewards and adjusted progression, while Hardcore Ultimate Royale returns with the addition of Sanhok for faster matches.
