You know the drill: a new week, a new free giveaway from Epic Games Store. This week, you can grab Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs and Kingdom New Lands.
The former is a sequel to horror game Amnesia: The Dark Descent. Set in 1899, it follows a wealthy industrialist called Oswald Mandus. “Tortured by visions of a disastrous expedition to Mexico, broken on the failing dreams of an industrial utopia, wracked with guilt and tropical disease, he wakes into a nightmare,” reads the description. “The house is silent, the ground beneath him shaking at the will of some infernal machine: all he knows is that his children are in grave peril, and it is up to him to save them.”

Like its prequel, A Machine for Pigs is in first-person and features a bunch of walking. Unlike The Dark Descent however, it received mixed reviews on Steam. A third game called Amnesia: Rebirth is releasing on October 20.
Meanwhile, Kingdom New Lands is a 2D strategy game that has you managing a kingdom. It’s described as “a minimalistic micro strategy game with modern retro aesthetics and an ambient soundtrack. Players take control of a monarch struggling to build their kingdom from nothing by exploring the world, recruit loyal subjects and defend from the nightly Greed attacks.”
