ASUS brings its first AI-powered business laptop lineup to Malaysia with AI meeting tools, military-grade durability, and up to 10 hours of battery life.
ASUS Malaysia has officially introduced the new ExpertBook P1 in Malaysia, marking the arrival of its first AI-powered business laptop lineup for local users. Available in both 14-inch and 15-inch models, the new ASUS ExpertBook P1 comes equipped with the Intel Core 5 processor 210H configuration and starts from RM2,799.
Positioned for working professionals and business users, the ExpertBook P1 focuses on practical day-to-day productivity rather than flashy extras. Both the ExpertBook P1 P1403CVA and P1503CVA are powered by the Intel Core 5 processor 210H, paired with 16GB DDR5 RAM that can be expanded up to 64GB, alongside a 512GB PCIe 4.0 SSD. ASUS says this setup is designed to handle common professional workloads such as video calls, document work, multitasking, and data processing smoothly.
The laptops also stay fairly portable for business use. The 14-inch model weighs from 1.4kg, while the 15-inch version starts from 1.61kg. ASUS also claims up to 10 hours of usage from the 50Wh battery, which should make the ExpertBook P1 a practical option for users who work across meetings, commutes, and flexible workspaces.
On the display side, both models use Full HD anti-glare panels with 300 nits brightness and an 87% screen-to-body ratio. ASUS is also keeping things practical with a solid port selection, including dual USB-C ports with display and power delivery support, dual USB-A ports, HDMI, RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet, and a 3.5mm combo audio jack. Wireless connectivity includes Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4.
One of the main highlights here is ASUS AI ExpertMeet, which is built into the ExpertBook P1 at no additional cost. This on-device AI collaboration suite includes features such as AI Meeting Minutes, live translated subtitles, AI noise cancellation, AI camera enhancements, and watermark tools for both webcam and screen sharing. ASUS is clearly aiming this at users who spend a lot of time on virtual meetings and want some added privacy and convenience without relying entirely on cloud-based tools.
Durability is another major selling point. ASUS says the ExpertBook P1 meets US MIL-STD 810H military-grade standards and has gone through tests covering drops, spills, hinge endurance, chassis twisting, port durability, and compression resistance. The keyboard is spill-resistant, while security features include a fingerprint sensor integrated into the touchpad, TPM 2.0, BIOS password protection, and a Kensington Nano Security Slot.

For pricing, the ASUS ExpertBook P1 with Intel Core 5 processor 210H is retailing in Malaysia at RM2,799. ASUS is also bundling in freebies and coverage worth a claimed total of RM1,917, including an ASUS backpack, a 2-year international on-site warranty, 1-year Local Accidental Damage Protection, and a 3-year McAfee subscription. Buyers can also take part in the “Your Voice Matters” campaign to receive RM40 in Touch ‘n Go eWallet credit by submitting a review.
Overall, the ExpertBook P1 looks like ASUS’ attempt to make business laptops feel a bit more modern without overcomplicating the formula. It is not trying to be ultra-premium, but for RM2,799, it does offer a fairly balanced package with decent specs, strong connectivity, AI meeting tools, and durability that should appeal to students, SMEs, and working professionals alike.
