Apple Rolls Out iOS 15, iPadOS 15, watchOS 8, and tvOS 15

Apple has officially rolled out iOS 15, iPadOS 15, watchOS 8, and tvOS 15 to iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, and Apple TV devices.

Facetime and Messages on both iPhone and iPad have been upgraded. Facetime now supports spatial audio and reduces background noise. Your friends and family can also join Facetime calls through shareable links on the web or Android. On the other hand, Messages receives a "shared with you" feature that can track content shared within message threads across relevant apps.

For notifications, you'll have more control over push alerts and the new Focus Mode lets you receive notifications from selected apps and people only when it's activated. Besides that, there's also the new Live Text function, which works similarly to Google Lens. It lets you extract written text from photos, screenshots, and your surroundings, and you'll be able to edit, translate, as well as share the text.

On iOS 15, you'll also find new features for the Maps, Photos, and Weather apps. Spotlight searches will also get richer results, including photos, as Apple has used a machine learning to identify what's in each image.

As for iPadOS 15, Quick Notes has become a system-wide feature. This means you can need to swipe in from the lower right corner to jot down anything you need.

The SharePlay feature is not available at launch. As the name suggests, you can watch movies or listen to music with your friends on Facetime when you share your screen with them.

The watchOS 8 gives the Apple Watch devices a deeper integration with iPhone, with features like Focus Mode and Contacts app. For fitness enthusiasts, there will also be some new workout categories.

Lastly, with the tvOS 15 update, Apple TV now has spatial audio support, including for AirPods Pro and AirPods Max. For those who own HomePod minis, you can connect them to an Apple TV 4K to use them as default speakers.

iOS 15 update is now supported by iPhone 6s and later, iPhone SE, and the 7th generation iPod touch. Apple tablets owners can run the iPadOS 15 on the fifth generation and later iPads, iPad mini 4 and later, iPad Air 2 and later, and all iPad Pro devices. watchOS 8 is available for Apple Watch Series 3 and later.
