Amidst escalating tensions between the United States and China, Apple is reportedly temporarily suspending all App Store game updates, as well as de-listing nearly 3,000 games from the App Store.
Following the statement released by the Chinese National Radio and Television Administration, all new mobile games to be distributed in China have to be approved starting from 1 July, and existing mobile games have to apply for approval as well (that's why I can't play Honor of Kings :( )
Apple Inc. has complied to the new ruling, insisting app developers to have their games approved by the Chinese government body before applying for listing in the App Store.
Hopefully, all this ruckus will be sorted out soon, so I can continue having chicken dinners with my friends!
