AOC and Porsche Design Announce AOC AGON PD27 Gaming Monitor

AOC and Porsche Design have announced the PD27, the first Porsche Design AOC AGON gaming monitor. According to the press release, it received the Red Dot Award 2020 prior to its official launch.

The 27” monitor has a 2560x1440 QHD VA panel with a 240Hz refresh rate and 500 nits of brightness, along with 1ms GtG and 0.5ms MPRT (move picture response time). It also has a 1000R curvature, AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, a VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification, and 5W stereo speakers with DTS sound.

For ports, the PD27 has a 4-port USB 3.2 hub, as well as two HDMI 2.0 and two DisplayPort 1.4 inputs.

Aesthetics-wise, the back of the display can be lit up, and the monitor “can project its logos on the table in different colours”. The PD27’s silver stand is shaped like a race car’s roll cage, and the wireless (IR) keypad that comes with the monitor also has a race car-inspired look by having a shape similar to that of a center console.

The Porsche Design AOC AGON PD27 will be available sometime mid-November in “select Porsche Design stores, specialist retailers and online at www.porsche-design.com and selected retail online shops”. It will have an RRP of EUR799, or ~RM3,894.
