AMD has officially announced the new AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 5000 WX-Series workstation processors, led by the flagship 64-core, 128-thread AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 5995WX. The new chipsets now come with increased boost clocks and an upgrade to the Zen 3 architecture.

With up to 64 Zen 3 cores, 128 PCIe Gen 4 lanes, and eight memory channels, the new lineup is capable of delivering up to double the performance of competing single socket solutions and up to 95% higher performance than workstations using two competing server processors. They also offer up to 43% increased graphics performance and up to 2.2x the storage performance of competing solutions.
The AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 5000 WX-Series processors will be available for purchase in the Lenovo ThinkStation P620 on 21 March.
