YouTube is planning to join the streaming service market with its very own streaming service.
According to a report by the Wall Street Journal, the company has renewed talks with entertainment companies regarding the platform, internally referred as a “channel store”.
The platform has been in the works for at least 18 months and could be available as early as this fall, the report added.
With so many streaming platforms such as Netflix and Disney Plus already flooding the streaming market, it will be interesting to see YouTube’s attempts in penetrating an already saturated market.
