Today, Xiaomi unveiled its very own smart glasses with abilities to show messages and notifications, make calls, navigate, capture photos, and translate text.
The smart glasses are powered by a quad-core ARM processor and run on Android. The company uses MicroLED imaging technology, which has higher brightness and a longer lifespan than OLED. The technology has a simpler structure that enables it to create a compact display with individual pixels sized at 4μm.
According to Xiaomi, the smart glasses won't be just a "second screen" for your existing smartphone. They are equipped with Xiamoi's AI Assistant to access functions like notifications display, navigation, taking photos, teleprompter, and real-time text and photo translations. You can also answer calls with the built-in microphone and speaker. For taking photos and real-time photo translations, the glasses feature a 5 MP camera on the front.
Xiaomi has yet to announce the launch date and pricing of its smart glasses.
