Xiaomi has launched the new Redmi K40 series in China. The series consists of the Redmi K40, Redmi K40 Pro, and Redmi K40 Pro+.
As reported by XDA Developers, all of the K40 phones sport a FHD Gorilla Glass 5 display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 360Hz touch sampling rate. They also have 900nits of typical brightness, a 5,00,000:1 contrast ratio, HDR 10+, MEMC, and a 4,520mAh battery. The three phones use MIUI 12 and have 5G support, but the regular K40 has Bluetooth 5.1 instead of Bluetooth 5.2 like the other two.
Things differ more on the inside, with the Redmi K40 having a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 while the other two have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888. Storage-wise, the K40 has 6GB LPDDR5 + 128GB, 8GB + 128GB, 8GB + 256GB, and 12GB + 256GB options, while the K40 Pro has 6GB LPDDR5 + 128GB, 8GB + 128GB, and 8GB + 256GB options. Meanwhile, the K40 Pro+ only has a 12GB + 256GB options.
For cameras, all three sport an 8MP ultra-wide camera and 5MP telemacro camera at the rear, and a 20MP selfie camera in front. However, the K40 has a 48MP IMX 582 main camera for the rear setup, while the K40 Pro and K40 Pro + have a 64MP main camera and 108MP Samsung HM2 main camera respectively.

At the moment, there’s no word of an international release for the Redmi K40 series.
