The new Xiaomi 12 series has finally made its way into the Malaysian market with both the Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro available for pre-order now.
At glance, it's hard to differentiate between the two as they have the same design but they come in different sizes. Both offer the same color options: Blue, Purple, and Gray. And they are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset.
The Pro model features a large 6.73" WQHD+ AMOLED display while the base variant comes with a smaller 6.28" Full HD+ AMOLED display. Both panels have the same 120Hz refresh rate, 480Hz touch sampling rate, as well as Dolby Vision and HDR 10+ support. The Pro model even has a 1Hz - 120Hz AdaptivePro display, which allows it to intelligently adjust refresh rates based on the content on-screen.
Coming to the cameras, the Pro's triple rear camera system includes a 50MP F1.9 Sony IMX707 sensor, a 50MP F2.2 ultra-wide camera, and a 50MP F1.9 telephoto camera. The one on the standard model consists of a 50MP F1.88 Sony IMX766 sensor, a 13MP F2.4 ultra-wide camera, and a 5MP telephoto camera.
The 12 Pro uses a 4600mAh battery that supports a speedy 120W HyperCharge, which can fully charge it in 18 minutes. Meanwhile, the Xiaomi 12 doesn't fall far with a 4500mAh battery along with a 67W turbo charging. Both models also support 50W wireless charging and 10W reverse charging.
The Xiaomi 12 Pro is equipped with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, retailing for RM3,899. On the other hand, the Xiaomi 12 is available in two configurations, 8+128GB and 8+256GB, priced at RM2,899 and RM2,999 respectively.
You can now pre-order the Xiaomi 12 Pro and Xiaomi 12 (8+256GB) and receive free gifts worth up to RM2,197. Also, the Xiaomi 12 (8+128GB) will be available for RM2,799 during the pre-order period if you purchase it on Shopee or Lazada.
