According to Xbox Insider Shpeshal_Nick on the XboxEra Podcast, several older games from Activision’s lineup could make a return to the current generation thanks to the acquisition clearing up licensing issues.
While we don’t know what games would most likely become backwards compatible, Shpeshal_Nick said players shouldn’t expect Marvel games like Spider-Man or X-Men due to more complicated licensing with Disney.
Even though Microsoft stopped updating backwards compatible games last year, it would be nice if the Activision acquisition brings a few more games into the collection.
