vivo has officially launched the photography flagship X80 series, consisting of the X80 and X80 Pro, with cinematic imaging capabilities in collaboration with ZEISS.
The X80 series now comes with a new ZEISS cinematic video bokeh feature that creates an oval flare bokeh with a ratio of 2.39:1 to create a widescreen cinematic lens effect. The bokeh effect will change to match the focal length, aperture, and shooting distance, and the flares are round in a 16:9 frame. Other features present include ZEISS Superb Portrait, Pure Night View, and ZEISS Natural Color.
Supporting the features is the X80 Pro with a 32MP front camera and a quad rear camera module comprising a 50MP ultra-sensing GNV camera with OIS, a 48MP wide-angle camera, a 12MP gimbal portrait camera, and an 8MP periscope camera. Meanwhile, the X80 packs a triple rear camera system, which includes a 50MP main camera, a 12MP portrait camera, and a 12MP wide-angle camera. On the front, it has a 32MP camera for selfies.
Alongside a customized vivo V1+ chip for high-quality imaging, the X80 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip and the X80 uses a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 processor. While both devices support 80W FlashCharge, the Pro model comes with a 4700mAh battery and a 50W wireless support but the vanilla model has a 4500mAh battery.
The X80 Pro sports a big 6.8" WQHD+ display while the X80 has a slightly smaller 6.78" FHD+ display, both with a 120Hz refresh rate. Both models are equipped with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The X80 Pro comes in only Cosmic Black whereas the X80 is available in Cosmic Black and Urban Blue.
