Valve Overhauling Steam Mobile App

Valve is finally overhauling its Steam mobile app years after its release.

In an official announcement on Steam, Valve revealed that they’ve rebuilt the Steam Mobile App and would like users to test out the beta. The beta is open for Android and IOS users who are using the current version of the Steam mobile app. The new version comes with QR code sign-in, smarter notifications, an improved library and multi-account support.

There is currently no release date for the overhauled Steam mobile app. We assume Valve would want users to test it out and provide feedback before releasing it to the public.

Released back in the 2010s, the Steam mobile app has been around for over a decade with minimal updates to it. Hopefully this new update is a sign that Valve finally remembered the app’s existence and will continue updating it.
