Upcoming RPG Game Avowed Set for November 2024 Release!

Obsidian has officially leaked on their blog post that their upcoming RPG game Avowed will be launching for the Xbox Series and PC via Steam on November 12, 2024. However, the blog post was immediately deleted, but many fans around the world had already captured the post and publicly shared it.



Carrie Patel, Game Director, and the team, said the following in the blog post:


“The last few months at Obsidian Entertainment have been fast-paced and exciting. Since we saw you at the Xbox Developer Direct this past January, we’ve been busy with Avowed getting it ready for release on November 12, 2024. Today, we’re thrilled to have revealed our first-ever story trailer at Xbox Games Showcase 2024, and to talk with you more about what we’ve shared.”


As a result of this, many speculated whether Obsidian will follow through with their post and release the game on November 12th. Though, if so, then Avowed will be releasing around the same time as Assassin's Creed: Shadows' Gold.



Furthermore, Obsidian Entertainment also released a Story Trailer for the game on their official YouTube account. Showcasing the gameplay, a look into the game as well as the characters that will feature in the game.


Avowed is a game that is set in the world of Eora from another game franchise, Pillars of Eternity. Players of the game of envoys from a distant land called Aedyr investigating a plague that has made its way throughout the Living Lands, as well as a personal connection that could potentially destroy everyone.



The Living Lands have diverse biomes and players will be able to enjoy varied gameplay with characters in the game capable of using swords, spells, guns and shields. Furthermore, players will also be able to befriend several companions of different species. Each character provides different skills and gameplay which makes it unique.
