TSMC has recently announced that it will start mass producing its 3nm processors starting from H2 2022.
Digitimes reported that the CEO of TSMC, Mr. CC Wei confirmed that the company will start mass production of its processors based on the 3nm process in the second half of this year while the mass production of its processors based on 2nm process will begin in 2025.
Mr. Wei promises that the new node will be able to meet consumer requests and demands with higher power efficiency and support for higher computing performance.
According to the news outlet, Apple may be the first to use TSMC's latest technology as the company may launch a new iPad this year powered by an Apple Silicon built on TSMC's N3 process in the second half of this year.
