The OPPO Reno8 May Be the First to be Powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 Chipset

Last week, there were reports that suggested the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset is expected to launch in H2 2022. Now Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station claimed that the OPPO Reno8 series will be the first to use the processor.

The tipster also revealed that the Reno8 could come with a 6.55" 120Hz OLED screen with a 2400 x 1800 resolution. For photography, it could pack a triple rear camera module, which consists of a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide angle camera, and a 2MP tertiary camera, along with a 32MP front-facing camera for selfies. There could also be a 4500mAh battery with 80W charging support, and support for LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.


To recap, the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset is rumored to feature 4 Cortex-A710 cores and 4 Cortex-A510 cores, along with a new Mali-G610 GPU.
