Steam Deck Will Officially Go on Sale on 25 February

Last year in July, Valve announced its own handheld console and the Steam Deck was originally slated to ship at the end of 2021, but it got delayed due to global chip shortage. Good news for those who have been waiting patiently, the wait will be over very soon.

In an official blog, the Steam Deck will officially be available for sale on 25 February with the first batch set to be shipped out on 28 February. According to the blog, customers will be receiving invites "shortly after 10am PT" on 25 February, which is 2am on 26 February Malaysian Time. Each customer will have 3 days or 72 hours from the receipt of their order email to make their purchase, or the next person in line will get the chance to place an order.

Valve says that the order emails will be sent out in the same order as the reservations order, and customers can only order the model they originally reserved. The reservation deposit will be applied to the final price of the Steam Deck.

The Steam Deck comes in three variants. The base version with 64 GB of eMMC storage is priced at US$399 (~RM1,676). The 256 GB NVMe SSD model costs US$529 (~RM2,222) while the highest-end model with 512 GB of high-speed NVME SSD storage retails for US$649 (~RM2,726).
