Slow and steady wins the skies: Acecraft season 2 launches with the Super Sports Games and new S-rank pilot Botto!


MOONTON Games’ hand-drawn co-op vertical shooter Acecraft kicked off its second season on 26 September with the “Super Sports Games” update, introducing its first major theme and a new pilot, Botto the tortoise. Following a global launch that topped iOS Free App charts in 34 countries and amassed millions of downloads, Acecraft has quickly become one of 2025’s breakout mobile titles.


Meet Butto: A tortoise built for the long game



At 280 years old, Botto is Acecraft’s first S-rank Water pilot, embodying patience and resilience. Inspired by his lifelong quest to catch the legendary Golden Calyx Shrimp, he trades speed for exceptional defence and precise control. His passive and special skills feature a “bullet elimination effect,” clearing projectiles to create safe zones during intense battles; offering players a steady, calculated way to survive Acecraft’s bullet-hell chaos.



The tortoise and the hare take flight in the Super Sports Games


For most pilots, the Super Sports Games are about speed, skill, and honour. For Botto, they're about shrimp. The 280-year-old tortoise sees the championship trophy not as silverware, but as the perfect tank to house the legendary Golden Calyx Shrimp—the ultimate catch for Cloudia's most dedicated angler.


Season 2 revives the timeless fable of the tortoise and the hare as Botto's unlikely ambition sets him against Amelia, Acecraft's competitive speedster, in the Super Sports Games. It is a duel between raw pace and quiet persistence, and only one philosophy will cross the finish line first.
