The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim is getting a new tabletop board game.
Simply titled as The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim The Board Game, it’s described as an “epic co-operative board game of adventure across Skyrim for 1-4 players”. Aside from that, there’s not much info available at the moment, with the FAQ and Updates sections yet to go live at the time of writing. Will the game have one person playing as the Dragonborn while the other three tag along as companions, or will everyone be a Dragonborn? We can only guess at this point.
According to PC Gamer, however, there will be a preview of the game on Tabletop Simulator before crowdfunding starts, so you’ll be able to see what the gameplay is like before committing to the crowdfunding.
The Skyrim board game is being developed by RPG and tabletop publisher Modiphius Entertainment, who has previously adapted Bethesda-made/published titles to tabletop before. It released the miniatures games Fallout: Wasteland Warfare and The Elder Scrolls: Call to Arms in 2019 and 2020 respectively, with the latter including a Dragonborn miniature among its catalogue. Modiphius also released an RPG adaptation of Dishonored in 2020.
If you’re interested, you can follow the project on crowdfunding site Gamefound for future updates.
