Samsung “Unlocks” 90 FPS for Fortnite on Galaxy Tab S7 and Tab S7+

Samsung has revealed that Galaxy Tab S7 and Tab S7+ users will now be able to play Fortnite at 90 FPS, the highest framerate available on mobile.

“To start playing Fortnite at 90 fps, Galaxy Tab S7 and Tab S7+ owners simply have to update their Fortnite app or download and install it through the Samsung Galaxy Store, the only mobile app store in the U.S. where users can download and enjoy the current season of Fortnite,” said Samsung, referring to the game’s current ban from App Store and Google Play.

Back in May, OnePlus announced that its OnePlus 8 series phones would be able to play the game at 90 FPS. However, its 90 FPS support could only work with lower graphic settings. Samsung did not say if the same applied to their version.

As for tablets, Apple beat Samsung to the punch back in January 2020, with the iPad Pro being able to play Fortnite at 120 FPS. Now that the game can’t be accessed on Apple’s store, however, it looks like Samsung now holds the crown among tablets, while OnePlus gets bragging rights among smartphones. #fortnite #samsung
