Samsung Pay is Now Online, Powered by Fiuu for Seamless Payments!

ree

In a significant move for Malaysia’s digital payments landscape, Fiuu, Southeast Asia’s leading payment service provider and the largest in Malaysia, has enabled Samsung Pay acceptance across a wide network of e-commerce merchants in sectors such as food and beverage, pharmacy, health and wellness, and entertainment. The rollout underscores Samsung’s push to move beyond in-store mobile wallet usage and into the fast-growing digital commerce segment, with Fiuu providing the acquiring infrastructure that powers the entire online enablement.

The new offering enables consumers to check out seamlessly on a wide array of online merchants, from fashion and electronics to travel and lifestyle. More e-commerce sites will be activated and available in the future. For merchants, the value proposition is clear: tapping into the large base of Samsung device users, offering a frictionless checkout button, and aligning with mobile-first consumer behaviour, supported by Fiuu’s proven reliability and coverage across major verticals.

On the financial services side, Samsung Pay currently supports 11 banks across Malaysia. With this institutional backing, the service ensures wide card-network coverage and credibility. The multi-bank support is critical because it means the offering can reach large swathes of banked consumers and is not limited to a niche set of issuers. Through Fiuu’s multi-bank acquiring connectivity, merchants gain streamlined access to these issuers under a single integration which helps accelerate adoption of the online wallet payment method. Samsung Pay is now also available to be used on Samsung’s online store as well.

The following table below lists supported banks and cards on Samsung Pay:

One of the most compelling aspects of the rollout is that transactions made online via Samsung Pay are eligible to earn Samsung Rewards Points, in the same way as in-store payments. Previously, many mobile wallet or device-based payments only offered loyalty points through physical payment method and this move closes the gap between online and offline.

Consumers making purchases via Samsung Pay accumulate Samsung Reward points which can be redeemed either through Samsung’s catalogue of rewards, or used towards upgrading Samsung devices, delivering more than just convenience, but also value.

Samsung Rewards Points earned via payments can be used in two key ways:

  • Redeem items from the Samsung Rewards catalogue which includes vouchers for selected food and beverage merchants and Samsung products.

  • Use the points to offset the cost of a new Samsung device, meaning the more you use Samsung Pay (online or in-store), the lesser you pay for your next device.

This rewards-driven model helps to reinforce a virtuous cycle: consumers pay via Samsung Pay → accumulate points → redeem great rewards or upgrade your devices.

This launch comes at a time when Malaysian consumers are increasingly comfortable with digital payments.

By enabling a mobile-wallet-first payment experience for online commerce, Samsung is bridging a gap, and through Fiuu’s acquiring capabilities, merchants gain access to a ready, seamless and secure online acceptance channel that supports the country’s growing digital economy.
