ROG Introduces New Cutting-Edge Gaming Devices at CES 2022

During CES 2022, ROG also announced its latest gaming devices with the newest chips and new peripherals to maximize gaming experiences, an updated ROG Citadel XV with an expanded map and new story, and several new ROG bags.


ROG Fusion II 500 and 300 Gaming Headsets

The ROG Fusion II 500 gaming headset provides top-notch audio with its high-resolution ESS 9280 with Quad DAC technology and offers immersive virtual 7.1 surround sound, as well as 50mm ASUS Essence drivers. It features a Game Chat volume control that lets players prioritize in-game audio or chat to communicate with their teammates.


It includes a 3.5mm connector, USB-C, and USB Type-A connectors to support PCs, Macs, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, Xbox, and mobile devices. The Fusion II 300 is similar to the former except gone are the 3.5mm connector and Game Chat feature.


ROG Strix Flare II Animate and Strix Flare II Gaming Keyboards

The ROG Strix Flare II Animate is the first keyboard to feature the AniMe Matrix LED display that allows users to customize images and animations to their liking. The keyboard comes with metal media keys and volume controls at the top left corner and ergonomic detachable wrist rest with a built-in diffuser.

Equipped with swappable ROG NX mechanical switches and ROG PBT doubleshot keycaps, it has an 8000Hz polling rate and a 0.125ms response time. It also has a built-in sound-dampening foam to reduce pinging for better typing acoustics.


On the other hand, the Strix Flare II is almost the same as the Strix Flare II Animate but the AniMe Matrix LED display, swappable switches, and light diffuser for the wrist rest are missing on this model. It also has a color-customizable ROG logo and uses ROG NX mechanical switches with ROG PBT doubleshot keycaps.


ROG Chakram X Gaming Mouse

The Chakram X is the first to feature ROG AimPoint, the company's optical sensor that delivers up to 36000 dpi and true 8000Hz polling rate. The AimPoint sensor offers a CPI deviation of less than 1% and its sensitivity level can be adjusted via the DPI button on the underside of the mouse or with DPI-on-the-Scroll. The mouse can be connected via wired USB, low-latency 2.4GHz RF, and Bluetooth.

Featuring a new concave joystick design, it gives users gamepad-like levels of control. The joystick can be programmed and used in wither analog or digital mode. It also has four buttons that mirror the A, B, X, and Y buttons on a controller. It has 100% PTFE mouse feet and includes the ROG Paracord for smooth movement, even when it's charging, which can be done via USB or wireless Qi.


ROG Swift OLED PG42UQ and PG28UQ

The ROG Swift OLED gaminng monitor series includes the world's first 42" OLED PG42UQ gaming monitor with micro-texture coatinng and a larger 48" Swift OLED PG28UQ. Supporting 4K visuals at 120Hz, both displays have 1000000:1 contrast ratio, 0.1ms response time, true 10-bit color, Delta E<2 color accuracy, and 98% coverage of the DCI-P3 colour gamut.


Unlike other OLED displays, the Swift OLED series feature a new anti-glare micro-texture coating on the panel to reduce glare. The monitors have a peak brightness of 900 nits. For connectivity, they offer two HDMI2.1 ports, two HDMI 2.0 ports, DisplayPort 1.4, and a USB hub.


ROG Swift 360Hz PG27AQN Nvidia Esports Monitor

The ROG Swift 360Hz PG27AQN Nvidia G-Sync esports monitor with Nvidia Reflex technology is the world's first monitor to feature a 1440p 360Hz display. The IPS display monitor uses a dual-layer voltage driver to enable the liquid crystals to switch from the upper-left and bottom-right corners simultaneously for a smoother, more consistent image. It also includes the Nvidia Reflex Analyzer to measure end-to-end system latency when paried with an Nvidia Reflex mouse.


ROG Rapture GT-AXE16000 Gaming Router

The ROG Rapture GT-AXE16000 is the world's first quad-band Wi-Fi 6E gaming router. It comes with four bands: 2.4GHz, two 5GHz bands, and 6GHz, with 160MHz channels in the 5GHZ and 6GHz bands. The router is equipped with a flagship Broadcom Wi-Fi chipset and CPU for an 18% improved maximum network, accelerated data transfers, and an optimized gaming experience. It also has improved coverage by up to 38%.


The Rapture GT-AXE16000 offers dual 10 Gbps ports, a 2.5 Gbps WAN port, and four 1 Gbps LAN ports. It also supports Asus' AiMesh system.


ROG Zephyrus Duo 16

The ROG Zephyrus Duo 16 is a dual-display laptop with a ScreenPad Plus secondary screen. This panel rises up and slides back to meet the primary display as the laptop opens via a new 4-directional hinge, providing a near-bezel-less expereience.

The main display is a new ROG Nebula HDR display with a QHD resolution, 16:10 mini-LED panel, a 165Hz refresh rate, a 100000:1 contrast ratio, and is VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certified. The secondary screen is a brand-new ROG-exclusive display co-developed with BOE called the Dual Spec panel, which can switch between 4K at 120Hz and FullHD at 240Hz.


Running Windows 11, the laptop is powered by the AMD Ryzen 9 6980HX processor and Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Ti graphics at 150W with Dyamic Boost. It is equipped with an upgraded Liquid Metal Conductonaut Extreme solution to lower the CPU's temperatures by up to 15°C.


It also features a keyboard with a 1.7mm key travel and per-key RGB, 6 speakers with Dual Force-Cancelling woofers, Dolby Atmos, and Hi-Res audio.


ROG Zephyrus G14

The 2022 version of the ROG Zephyrus G14 now comes with upgrades, including Windows 11 support, an AMD Ryzen 9 6000 series processor, and AMD Radeon RX 6000S series graphics with a MUX Switch for enhanced performance. It is equipped with a DDR5 RAM and a 1TB PCIe SSD storage.


Available in Eclipse Gray and Moonlight White, it features a a Prismatic Logo nameplate with a holographic, reflective hue. The lid is covered with 14,969 precision CNC milled holes with 1449 mini LEDs on models with the iconic AniMe Matrix display.

It is also one of ROG's first laptops to come with the new Nebula display, which offers 120Hz at QHD with 500 nits of peak brightness. The laptop has a 3ms response time, and covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut. Other features include, Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, Adaptive Sync, AI noise cancellation, and Wi-Fi 6E.


ROG Strix Scar and Strix G

Also running Windows 11, the brand new ROG Strix Scar is powered by up to the 12th Gen Intel Core i9-1290H processor nd Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Ti graphics, along with DDR5 4800MHz RAM and PCIe Gen4x4 storage.


Available in 15" and 17" sizes, the 15" model offers 3 IPS display options: QHD 240 Hz, Full HD 300 Hz, and QHD 165 Hz, while the 17" model offers QHD 240 Hz or Full HD 360 Hz. It supports Dolby Vision, Adaptive Sync, and Aura Sync-compatible per-key RGB lighting on the keyboard.


The ROG Strix G15 and G17 are powered by up to the AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX processor and Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Ti graphics at 150W with Dynamic Boost. The G15 comes with a Full HD 300 Hz and a QHD 165 Hz display option while the G17 offers Full HD 360 Hz and QHD 240 Hz options.


With a 3ms response time, the Strix G series supports Dolby Vision, Adaptive Sync, Dolby Atmos, AI noise cancellation, Wi-Fi 6E, and 2.5G LAN. The laptop is backed by a 90Wh battery that suuports 100W Type-C charging. It is available in Eclipse Gray and two neon colour choices.


ROG Flow Z13 and XG Mobile

The ROG Flow Z13 is a powerful gaming tablet that features Windows 11, up to the Intel Core i9-12900H processor, Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 Ti graphics, a MUX Switch, and 5200 MHz LPDDR5 RAM. Inspired by the 29th century Space Race, the tablet offers 2 display options: a 4K 60Hz display with 85% DCI-P3 coverage and a Full HD 120Hz screen with 100% sRGB coverage.

Both variants have a 16:10 aspect ratio and 500 nits of peak brightness. They support Dolby Vision, Adaptive Sync, and has Corning Gorilla glass protection. The device can be used with a mouse, gamepads, and opened up to 170° with a built-in kickstand.


The Flow Z13 and the 2022 version of Flow X13 are now compatible with the XG Mobile family of external GPUs, which include the AMD Radeon RX 6850 XT GPU. Users can also connect them to the 2021 XG Mobile with the Nvidia GeForce RTX 6850 XT GPU.


ROG Strix GT15 Gaming Desktop

The 2022 version of the ROG Strix GT15 is updated with up to an Intel Core i7-12700KF, Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080, and 64GB of DDR4-3200 RAM.


ROG Archer Bag Series

Besides gaming devices, ROG has also introduced new accessories in the Archer series of bags and backpacks. The Archer Messenger 14 comes with many small pockets and is enough to pack a 14" laptop. There are also the Archer Backpack 15.6 and Backpack 17 in the series. Another member, the Archer Weekender 17 has extra padding that brings comfort for long-distance travel. All the Archer backpacks are lightweight and water-resistant.


ROG Pixel Game Jacket

Made of French terry fleece, the ROG Pixel game Jacket features a full-zipper design with ribbed trims. It comes with a detachable drawstring hood and 8-bit-pixel-inspired graphics to "reflect old-school, retro gaming". It is available in sizes from S up to XXL.


ROG Gravity Hoodie

The ROG Gravity Hoodie is made of soft, heavyweight French terry fabric and features a hood large enough for users who wear headphones. It comes with a kangaroo pocket for small items and ROG aesthetics like an embroidered ROG logo and a reflective ROG pattern at the back. It is also available in sizes from S to XXL.
