OPPO has finally launched its latest addition to the Reno series family, the OPPO Reno10, Reno10 Pro, and Reno10 Pro+ 5G. And today, min min will review the top configuration model - OPPO Reno10 Pro+ and find out what makes the OPPO Reno Series the Portrait Expert.

Design

The OPPO Reno10 Pro+ 5G is available in two colorways in Malaysia, which are Glossy Purple and Silvery Grey, both feature a glass material back whereas our reviewing unit today, Reno10 Pro+ 5G Glossy Purple sports a refined porcelain design; the Silvery Grey however, give off a sense of subtle metallic texture finishes.

Most importantly, the Reno10 Pro+ 5G boasts a 3D Curved Screen with a super high 93.9% screen-to-body ratio which delivers the most immersive visual experience, at the same time, making it comfortable to hold on thanks to the slimmest bezels.

Display

The Reno10 Pro+ 5G is equipped with a 6.74-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2772 x 1240 (450PPI) that supports for up to 120Hz refresh rate. Besides that, the peak brightness of the display can reach up to 1,400 nits (HDR), making the display clearly visible even when you're taking pictures under harsh sunlight!

Furthermore, the Reno10 Pro+ 5G also features a curved display plated with AGC Dragontrail Star 2 to provide a solid improved drop resistance compared to smartphones with standard display protection.

Camera

As for the camera specifications, the OPPO Reno10 Pro+ 5G houses a 50MP Ultra-Clear Main Camera and a 64MP Telephoto Portrait Camera with 3X optical zoom to provide the best shot range for portrait photography.

This time, it seems like the OPPO Reno10 Pro+ 5G will take the throne of being the best portrait photography smartphone for now, rocking a 64MP Pro-level Telephoto Portrait Camera and a large 1/2-inch sensor, expanding the light intake of the lens while providing support with improved image stabilization and a wider anti-shake angle camera system.

That's not all, it also comes with a large f/2.5 maximum aperture and 25 cm minimum focusing distance to help you easily achieve a natural optical bokeh effect and depth in every portrait.

Certainly, the Reno10 Pro+ 5G is able to capture crisp pictures during the day and night thanks to the 8x Dynamic Range with ProXDR camera system to enhance the picture quality and colors to appear more authentic in contrast to SDR (Standard Dynamic Range) technology.

Performance

The OPPO Reno10 Pro+ 5G is powered by a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor whereas the Reno10 Pro is powered by Snapdragon 778G 5G processor. So if you're a performance-oriented user, the Reno10 Pro+ 5G is definitely your best pick among the models available. It is paired with a 12GB + 256GB storage configuration that supports RAM expansion of another 12GB, topping up to 24GB of total RAM for all your background apps and graphical-intensive games.

That being said, the Reno10 Pro+ 5G scores a total of 1, 115, 009 on AnTuTu Benchmark (V10.0.1-OB1), which even surpasses the devices that use Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processors in the market!

And for Genshin Impact, the Reno10 Pro+ 5G handles it like a charm, with a consistent 60fps on High graphics settings, Pro Gamer Mode when exploring the Sumeru Region and completing daily commissions.

The gameplay was relatively smooth while in combat, even when you're using abilities and switching to other characters. Even though there's a minor fps drop in between, it doesn't impact the overall experience.

On top of that, the Reno10 Pro+ 5G packs a 4,700 mAh battery capacity that supports 100W SUPERVOOC Flash Charge to bring your device back to the action in a flash. You may think that the 100W SUPERVOOC Flash Charge may do damage to your battery health after prolonged usage.

Even so, OPPO came up with a SUPERVOOC S Power Management Chip which increases discharge efficiency to extend the battery health up to 4 years. Thus, you don't have to think about sending the device to battery replacement anytime soon.

Buy or no buy?

In conclusion, the OPPO Reno10 Pro+ 5G is indeed a worthy device you should get in 2023. Flagship-level processor, extraordinary portrait performance, eye-catching design, and very much more from the OPPO Reno10 Pro+ 5G make it stands out from the competition with a competitive price of RM 3,499.

Though, if you opt for something that costs lesser with similar features like the OPPO Reno10 Pro+ 5G, you may consider the OPPO Reno10 Pro which is on our review list next!
