PUBG Mobile Pro League MY/SG Season 2 Gets Unreal Engine-powered Virtual Studio

The second season of PUBG Mobile Pro League (PMPL) MY/SG is getting a new virtual studio powered by Epic’s Unreal Engine, Tencent has announced.

Tencent claims that the new virtual studio heralds a “new era” of virtual studio production and broadcasting for Southeast Asian esports. The new studio will also bring the tournament’s production and broadcast abilities to “new heights”.

And in line with the involved regions for the tournament, the new virtual studio will feature an appropriately-themed aesthetic. “The studio is transformed into a traditional royal palace, but is filled with elements of PUBG MOBILE and esports, along with local elements of Malaysia and Singapore,” reads the press release. The palace will feature a palatial castle for the emcee and another for the commentators.

PMPL Season 2 is currently in its second week. Egg Network reported today that the Week 2 groupings had been tweaked to include two top 6 teams from Week 1, such as Yoodo Gank and Geek Fam, in each of the groups.
