Sony has revealed a list of entertainment apps that will be available on the PlayStation 5 on launch day.

These apps include Apple TV, Disney+, Netflix, Spotify, and Twitch. Anime streaming site Crunchyroll also announced that its app would be available on the next-gen console. Sony added that more apps will arrive on the PS5 in the future, such as Amazon Prime Video, MyCanal, Hulu, and Peacock.

The apps will be accessible via a dedicated section located next to the Game home screen. “Within the Media space, you’ll no longer need to download entertainment apps through PS Store — it’s all in the Media space,” said Sony. “Creating dedicated Game and Media spaces for the PS5 user experience will make it fast and easy to switch between gaming and entertainment content whenever you want. The PS5 console also features a new Control Center that makes controlling your music easier than ever before, so you can quickly switch between channels, skip, and pause your music.”

In addition, there will be a new Media Remote available alongside the PS5’s launch to navigate the media. The remote will also be able to adjust volume and power settings on TVs that are compatible and has “dedicated launch buttons” for Disney+ Netflix, Spotify, and YouTube.
