After being teased earlier in April this year, two of Acer's popular laptop models - the Predator Triton 500 and Acer Nitro 5 - have finally returned with 10th Gen Intel Core processors in tow. To celebrate the arrival of these updated machines, Acer will be holding a special launch promotion from 15-19 June 2020 exclusively on the Acer eStore and Lazada.
In addition to the latest 10th Gen Intel Core processors, the Predator Triton 500 and Acer Nitro 5 also come packing up to 16GB of RAM (upgradable to 32GB) and 512 GB of PCIe NVMe SSD storage. The Acer Nitro 5 is also upgradable with additional M.2 and HDD slots as well as a HDD upgrade kit in the box.
Previously featured in the Predator series, Killer DoubleShot™ Pro has also made its way to the latest Acer Nitro 5, allowing you to combine Intel Wireless Wi-Fi 6 with Killer Ethernet E2600 to increase speed, stability, and performance.
Predator Triton 500
Targeted towards hardcore gamers, the Predator Triton 500 is powered by a 10th Gen Core-i7 processor with the option of a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 Max-Q or RTX 2070 Super Max-Q GPU. The Triton 500 is highly portable, packing all that power within a 17.9mm thin all-metal chassis that weights a mere 2.1 kg.
Display-wise, you'll enjoy a 15.6" FHD IPS screen with a blazingly fast 300Hz refresh rate, 3ms response time with NVIDIA G-SYNC, and 100% coverage of the sRGB color gamut. The all-metal 4th Gen AeroBlade™ 3D fan keeps things cool, while the enhanced CoolBoost™ technology with the new Acer Vortex Flow technology increases airflow while reducing noise.
The retail price of the Predator Triton 500 starts from RM7,999. It will be available with a promotion on the Acer eStore and Lazada exclusively starting from 15 June, and become available to Predator authorized resellers nationwide starting 20 June.
Acer Nitro 5
The Acer Nitro 5 is a more affordable option for gamers on a tighter budget. Beneath the brand new facelifted design, you'll still enjoy RGB lighting controlled by NitroSense, as well as an overall 25% improvement in thermal performance over the 2019 model. CoolBoost™ technology is also present on these machines, and are capable of increasing fan speed by 10% and CPU/GPU cooling by 9% to further optimise cooling efficiency.
In terms of power, the Acer Nitro 5 is equipped with the option of a 10th Gen Core-i7 processor paired with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660Ti at RM4,899, or a 10th Gen Core-i5 processor paired with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650Ti at just RM3,799.
Both variants are available immediately at all Acer official online stores and all Acer authorized resellers nationwide.
