OPPO Reportedly Working on Custom Smartphone Chipset, May Launch in 2023

According to the latest reports, OPPO is planning to develop an in-house smartphone chipset and may mass-produce it in 2023.

OPPO’s IC design subsidiary, Shanghai Zheku is reportedly working on an application processor (AP) on TSMC's 6nm process and will mass-produce the unnamed chip next year. The company also plans to introduce a more powerful and energy-efficient SoC in 2024, and it will feature an integrated 5G modem. This one will be built on TSMC's 4nm architecture.


There's no other information about the processors as of now, CPU and GPU clock speeds, ARM cores or custom cores.
