The Version 3.8 Update brings the exciting Steampunk Frontier mode to Erangel, Livik, and Rondo, adding new locations like Aetherholm train station, cargo hubs, train platforms, and Utgard Castle. These areas are fully integrated into the existing maps, connected by a network of trains that players can ride to explore the new zones.
Attack on Titan Collaboration

Fans of Attack on Titan will find Utgard Castle a highlight in the new update, as it recreates the dramatic Titan assaults that reshape the battlefield. Players can use Titan Serums to transform into Pure Titans for a major advantage, with the rare Attack Titan Serum—available only once per match—offering the chance to become the powerful Attack Titan. Additionally, players can equip Omni-Directional Mobility (ODM) Gear for high-speed, aerial combat, enhancing the anime-inspired experience. A special in-game event also features the Colossal Titan’s dramatic appearance in northeast Erangel. More themed outfits, weapons, and rewards will arrive on May 30.
Version 3.8 Update Highlights:
Steam Powered Express
The Steampunk Frontier mode introduces immersive steam train adventures with two distinct trains: the Epoch Cargo Train, which stops at Aetherholm to unload valuable Aethercore Containers, and the Express Train, which speeds through cargo hubs and platforms offering fast-paced action and hidden rewards. Players can solve puzzles, open special crates, interact with Clockwork Attendants for buffs, shop with Clockwork Merchants, enjoy rollercoaster rides, and take part in the Early Summer Jubilee event on July 2, complete with food and photo opportunities.
World of Wonder Updates
New creative tools arrive in World of Wonder, including buildable train tracks and carriages, new weapons like the Welding Gun and M3E1-A Missile Launcher, and enemies such as the Velociraptor. Players can use vehicles like the T. Rex, Armored Vehicle, and Bus, along with Attack on Titan items like ODM Gear and Titan Serum. The update also adds powerful new skills via the Skill Management Device, such as Fixed Air Raid and Scout Survey. Search features now include real-time suggestions, auto-completion, and a quick search option.
Metro Royale Enhancements
Metro Royale sees the introduction of a portable military server for intel hacking and new gear restrictions for fairer combat. Players can explore worn-down train zones in Arctic Base and Misty Port, view team loadouts in Team Deathmatch - Warehouse, and earn rewards by collecting tokens to exchange with the Clockwork Merchant on trains.
Classic Mode Upgrades
Classic Mode adds new tactical features like portable med packs for team support, the high-durability Pillar UAZ vehicle in Rondo, and the ability to use one-handed weapons while driving motorcycles. Spare tires reduce the impact of tire damage, improving vehicle durability.
Home Mode Revamp
Home Mode receives a visual and functional upgrade with the new Bronzework Bastion theme, available through the Home Lucky Spin and Shop. Players can earn Style Points through purchases to unlock rewards and level up their homes. Batch construction is now more convenient, and Mysterious Merchant crates have been updated with items matching the new theme.
Synergy Party and System Updates
The update introduces the Team Popularity Battle Event, smoother animal vehicle handling, and a dramatic two-stage vehicle explosion mechanic for more intense battles. Synergy Party rewards cooperative play with exclusive prizes, while the memory vault now features adventure scroll cards and an in-match mission tracker for easier quest progress.
New Season, New rewards
Version 3.8 Update also marks the start of Cycle 8 Season 24, bringing new legendary items and tier rewards. Ultimate Royale returns, with Hardcore Ultimate Royale - for players who have reached Crown Tier or above in any previous season - including the Sanhok map. Players can also look forward to a new Themed Mode Rating Protection Event running from today until 25th May.
