Rumours have been circulating that Nvidia and AMD are planning discounts for their graphics cards.
According to a new report on 3Dcenter.org, the two companies could reduce the price of their GPUs to clear their existing stock. So far there are no details regarding what GPU models will be discounted and steep the price cuts will be.
The price cut will supposedly begin in September, so we will most likely see an announcement of them in the coming days.
While many would eagerly want to get their hands on a discounted GPU, it might be a good idea to wait. Both Nvidia and AMD are expected to release their next-generation GPUs sometime this year, perhaps as early as October. It would be best to wait to see what the two companies have in store for their next-generation lineup before upgrading.
