Nintendo clarifies Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom's name pronunciation

"Tears" of the Kingdom sounds weird, "Tears" of the Kingdom just make more sense.

On Tuesday, September 13, Nintendo had revealed the name of the highly anticipated The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild sequel. Although it sounds dramatic, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will be the next mainline of Zelda game. However, fans were left wondering is it the tears of crying or tears that ripped things off.


Nintendo had clarified that it means "tears" as in crying, reportedly by Eurogamer on Friday, September 16.

In an effort to prevent spoilers, Nintendo said that the game's name would remain a mystery. However, despite being revealed in the title, there are still some surprises that may caught Zelda fans crying our way through this game. Many secrets remain in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, but this is one we can finally cross off our wishlist as we wait for the game's release on May 5, 2023.
