The next game in the Skate franchise will be a free-to-play title with cross-play and cross-progression.
According to developer Full Circle, the new game titled “skate.” will have a microtransaction-based business model to fund the game. Considering that this is a game published by EA, this is not surprising.
The microtransaction will likely just be cosmetics, as Full Circle said they were taking inspiration from Apex Legends, another EA published game.
They also said anyone interested to test the game can sign up as an insider.
The game will release on PC and both current and last-gen consoles. No release date has been announced as of now.
