A new game set in the Lord of the Rings universe has been announced.
In a press release by Private Division, a publishing label of Take-Two Interactive, they announced that they have partnered with Weta Workshop, which also worked on the Peter Jackson movies.
“Middle-earth Enterprises have licensed the literary works of the series, providing Weta Workshop with the broadest creative license to interpret the underlying lore of the books,” the press release said.
The title is still in early development with no release date. Private Division said that they expect the game to release within Take-Two’s 2024 fiscal year, which runs from April 2023 to March 2024.
