MSU Kuda Esports Win The PUBG Mobile Campus Championship 2020

MSU Kuda Esports are the winners of the recent PUBG Mobile Campus Championship (PMCC) 2020, which was presented by telco brand Yoodo. The team attained their victory by amassing 72 points in total despite not achieving a single Chicken Dinner during the Grand Finals.


With their win, the team from Management & Science University get RM20,000 in prize money as well as a spot in the PUBG Mobile National Championship (PMNC) 2021. First runner-up The-Five Esports from University Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia Institute of Aviation Technology and second runner-up Tridon from Universiti Teknologi MARA, Pasir Gudang scored RM10,000 and RM6,000 in prize money respectively.

“The response for this year’s PMCC has been nothing but fantastic,” said Head of Yoodo Chow Tuck Mun. “We are proud to continue with PMCC and provide a platform for young gamers to showcase their talent. This is certainly in line with our goal to nurture local grassroots talents and ultimately grow the esports scene in Malaysia.”


Meanwhile, Director of PUBG Mobile SEA Oliver Ye said, “Following the success of the inaugural PMCC last year, we are pleased to have a stable and long-term partner in Malaysia with Yoodo. The tournament is a way for us to convey our recognition of the immense support we have received from the students here. This support has continued with the great reception and participation in the tournament, form players and fans alike.”


813 teams from 320 universities and colleges and registered for the event, with a total of 3,252 players taking part in the qualification stage. 20 teams battled in the regional finals, while 16 took part in the Grand Finals.
