Meta, formerly Facebook, will be launching a new VR headset in October.
Speaking on The Joe Rogan Experience podcast, Meta’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg said that the new headset will come with several new features such as eye movement tracking that can translate to a virtual avatar.
He also said that it will be able to read facial expressions so that virtual avatars have a more organic appearance which would create a “more natural social experience.”
Zuckerberg did not reveal the name of the VR headset or its price, but there is no doubt that it would be more expensive than the Oculus Quest 1 and 2. We can only wait till October to hear more about the headset.
