The 5G network coverage in Malaysia has now reached 30% in populated areas.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, as reported by Bernama, commented on the government’s agenda for digitising Malaysia and how 5G will play a major role in it.
“The government hopes that the digitalisation programme that has been implemented by various ministries and agencies will continue to be improved to maintain current momentum and further drive the nation’s digitalisation agenda.”
The prime minister also said that Digital Nasional Berhad (DNB) aims to reach 40% coverage in populated areas by the end of 2022 and 80% coverage by 2024.
