Live-Action Pac-Man Movie In Development

Video game movie adaptations are common nowadays, but sometimes the mere idea of a specific game becoming a movie raises some eyebrows. One of those games is the classic arcade game Pac-Man.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the live-action adaptation is under development by Wayfarer Studios, the studio behind the Disney+ movie Clouds. They are also assisted by Bandai Namco, the rights holder to Pac-Man.

In addition, the movie will be based on an original idea from Chuck Williams, producer of the Sonic the Hedgehog movie.

Not much information about the movie is known besides that, but the titular character has not been a stranger to television adaptations before. The most recent being Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures in 2013.

Regardless, let's hope Pac-Man isn’t voiced by Chris Pratt. He is already voicing Mario in the upcoming live-action adaptation of the plumber, I don’t need him voicing another video game character.
