Lenovo Expands Gaming Lineup with New LOQ Essential PCs and High-Speed Legion Monitors

Lenovo is expanding its gaming portfolio with a new range of LOQ Essential laptops, a LOQ gaming desktop and two Legion gaming monitors, giving new PC gamers more accessible ways to start gaming while offering room to upgrade as their needs grow.

The newly announced lineup includes the Lenovo LOQ Essential 15IPH11, LOQ Essential 15IRH11, LOQ Tower 17IRH11, Legion 27Q-20 and Legion 27U-20 monitors.

While Lenovo Legion continues to target enthusiasts and competitive players looking for higher-end gaming hardware, LOQ sits at the more accessible end of Lenovo's gaming ecosystem. The new LOQ Essential models take that positioning even further, targeting students, first-time gaming PC buyers and users looking for a capable everyday machine that can also handle gaming.

Lenovo LOQ Essential 15IPH11: Gaming Without a Dedicated GPU

One of the more interesting additions is the Lenovo LOQ Essential 15IPH11, which takes a different approach to entry-level gaming by relying on Intel's latest integrated graphics platform instead of a discrete GPU.

The laptop is powered by up to an Intel Core Ultra X7 358H processor with integrated Intel Arc B390 graphics, using a unified memory architecture that allows the processor and graphics to share a common pool of high-speed system memory.

Rather than reserving a fixed amount of memory exclusively for graphics, the system can dynamically allocate memory depending on whether the user is gaming, streaming, creating content or handling other workloads.

Intel Arc graphics also support hardware-accelerated ray tracing and Intel XeSS AI-powered upscaling, while a dedicated NPU enables local AI processing in supported applications.

According to Lenovo, the more efficient integrated design helps reduce the additional power and thermal requirements associated with a discrete GPU, contributing to battery life of up to 21 hours, depending on configuration and usage.

The LOQ Essential 15IPH11 features a 15.3-inch 16:10 WUXGA IPS display, with configurations offering up to a 165Hz refresh rate, 100% sRGB colour coverage and 300 nits of brightness.

Lenovo has also made the new model approximately 10% lighter and slimmer than its predecessor, making it more practical for students carrying the laptop between class, home and gaming sessions.

Thunderbolt 4 support enables USB-C charging between 65W and 100W, while dual memory and SSD slots provide additional upgrade options as storage and performance requirements increase.

Lenovo LOQ Essential 15IRH11 Brings Dedicated RTX Graphics to First-Time Gamers

Gamers who prefer a traditional dedicated GPU setup can instead look towards the Lenovo LOQ Essential 15IRH11.

The laptop combines up to an Intel Core 7 230H processor with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Laptop GPU with 6GB GDDR6 memory, providing an accessible entry point for users who want dedicated graphics for gaming while still using the machine for schoolwork, productivity and everyday multitasking.

Its display is similarly a 15.3-inch 16:10 panel, supporting up to a 165Hz refresh rate and 100% sRGB colour coverage.

Like the 15IPH11, Lenovo says the 15IRH11 is around 10% lighter and slimmer than the previous generation.

The design remains relatively understated, although Lenovo has added transparent purple accent keys to give the laptop a subtle gaming identity.

Memory configurations go up to 32GB DDR5, while storage supports up to a 1TB PCIe Gen4 SSD.

Lenovo LOQ Tower 17IRH11 Offers an Easier Entry into Desktop Gaming

For users who want a gaming desktop without building a PC from scratch, Lenovo is also introducing the LOQ Tower 17IRH11.

The 17-litre desktop can be configured with up to an Intel Core 7 230H processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Ti graphics, giving new desktop gamers enough performance for AAA gaming, streaming and general multitasking.

Powered by NVIDIA's Blackwell architecture, the GeForce RTX 50 Series also brings support for technologies including DLSS 4.5, alongside NVIDIA Studio features for creators.

The system supports up to 32GB of DDR5 memory and up to a 1TB PCIe Gen4 SSD, with additional internal storage expansion available.

One of the key features of the LOQ Tower is Lenovo's Easy Upgrade Access, which uses a tool-less design to make swapping or adding components less intimidating for users who may be upgrading a desktop for the first time.

Connectivity can also include Wi-Fi 7, depending on configuration.

To manage heat and noise during heavier workloads, Lenovo has incorporated a concealed air-duct cooling design alongside selectable thermal modes that allow users to balance acoustics and performance.

The tower comes in a dual-tone combination of Raven Black and Luna Grey, with Lenovo Legion Space and Nahimic by SteelSeries providing additional gaming software and audio features.

Legion 27Q-20 Goes Up to 320Hz for Competitive Gaming

Lenovo is also expanding its Legion monitor family with two 27-inch gaming displays aimed at different types of players.

The Lenovo Legion 27Q-20 targets competitive gamers with a 2560 x 1440 QHD Fast IPS panel capable of running at a native 320Hz refresh rate.

It offers a 1ms GtG response time and 0.5ms MPRT, together with support for AMD FreeSync Premium, VESA Adaptive Sync and NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible technologies to help reduce tearing and stuttering during high-speed gameplay.

An interesting addition is Focus View, which creates a concentrated 24.5-inch competitive viewing area with darkened borders around the sides.

The feature is designed for players who prefer the smaller screen format commonly used in esports and tournament environments without requiring a separate monitor.

Legion 27U-20 Switches Between 4K 180Hz and FHD 360Hz

For players who alternate between visually demanding single-player games and competitive titles, the Legion 27U-20 offers significantly more flexibility.

Its Dual Mode panel can operate at UHD 3840 x 2160 resolution at up to 180Hz when visual fidelity is the priority.

Players can then switch the display to Full HD at up to 360Hz when maximum refresh rate and responsiveness are more important.

This effectively gives users two different display profiles within a single monitor.

The 27U-20 also supports Picture-in-Picture and Picture-by-Picture, allowing content from multiple sources to be displayed simultaneously, while an integrated USB hub expands connectivity for peripherals and other devices.

Both Legion Monitors Target Gaming and Content Consumption

Despite their different performance focus, both Legion monitors share several display characteristics.

The two panels cover 99% of the sRGB and 95% of the DCI-P3 colour spaces, with factory-calibrated Delta E < 2 colour accuracy.

Both are also VESA DisplayHDR 400 certified, offer up to 400 nits of brightness and support 1.07 billion colours.

Lenovo is also bringing several AI-powered gaming features through Legion Space, including AI Crosshair and Game Companion for supported competitive scenarios.

Additional tools such as AI Walkthrough and Win-Moment Show are designed to assist players during games and help capture memorable gameplay moments.

Both monitors feature adjustable stands supporting height, tilt, pivot and swivel adjustments, along with Natural Low Blue Light technology and Eyesafe 2.0 certification for improved viewing comfort during extended sessions.

HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4 connectivity also allow the displays to work with a range of gaming PCs and consoles.

From First Gaming PC to Competitive Setup

Lenovo says the expanded portfolio forms part of its broader approach to supporting gamers across different stages of their gaming journey.

Lenovo is also a Founding Partner of the Esports World Cup, where Legion gaming hardware is being used to support professional esports competitors.

The company's latest launches bring that gaming strategy to the opposite end of the spectrum as well, with LOQ Essential serving as an accessible starting point before users move towards more powerful gaming hardware.

Pricing and Availability

Lenovo Malaysia has yet to announce local pricing and availability for the LOQ Essential 15IPH11, LOQ Essential 15IRH11, LOQ Tower 17IRH11, Legion 27Q-20 and Legion 27U-20.

More details on their Malaysian availability are expected to be announced at a later date.
