Lenovo Announces New Tablets and Smart Clock

Lenovo is bringing in several new tablets including the Lenovo Yoga Tab 13, Lenovo Yoga Tab 11, and Lenovo Tab P11 Plus, along with the Lenovo Smart Clock 2. The tablets will receive Lenovo’s Premium Care service, which will be offered with other select tablets in the future.

The Yoga Tab 13 comes with a stainless steel kickstand with anti-fingerprint coating and a rolled edge design, along with a Shadow Black-coloured exterior and an Alcantara covering. Outside of its design, it offers an 8MP front camera with smart log-in and background noise reduction.

The tablet has a 13-inch 2K LTPS display with 400 nits of brightness and 100 percent sRGB, as well as Dolby Vision HDR. Inside, the Yoga Tab 13 comes with a Snapdragon 870, 8GB LPDDR5 of memory and up to 256GB of storage. For audio, it has quad JBL speakers, with two built into its soundbar, as well as Lenovo Premium Audio tuning, Dolby Atmos, dual mics, and a bottom audio chamber.

The Yoga Tab 13 also offers Wi-Fi 6 support and can be used with the optional Lenovo Precision Pen 2. In other areas, it can be used as a secondary display when connected with a micro-HDMI to USB cable, and offers up to 12 hours of battery when streaming in 1080p. It also has Entertainment Space from Google, which is described as “a new home for the entertainment goodness from all your free and paid services”.

Meanwhile, the Yoga Tab 11 is powered by the MediaTek Helio G90T and has an 11-inch 2K IPS TDDI display with Dolby Vision and TÜV Rheinland certification. It can have up to 8 GB of LPDDR4 RAM and up to 256 GB of ROM, and comes with a stainless steel kickstand and Storm Grey fabric. It’s also compatible with the optional Lenovo Precision Pen 2.

For the other tablets, the dual-tone Lenovo Tab P11 Plus offers a MediaTek G90T-powered device with an 11-inch 2000 x 1200 display, up to 6 GB of LPDDR4 RAM, and up to 128 GB of storage, along with Dolby Atmos. Lenovo says that it can manage 12 hours of streaming. Meanwhile, the third-gen 7-inch Lenovo Tab M7 and 8-inch Lenovo Tab M8 offer an all-metal build and, in the case of the latter, a Smart Charging Station model option to “optimize Google Assistant’s ambient mode”. The Lenovo Tab M8’s Smart Charging Station model comes with dual mics and dual front-facing speakers as well, while the normal model has one mic and a single front-spacing speaker.

Finally, the Lenovo Smart Clock 2 has a 4-inch color touchscreen and a fabric soft-touch exterior with Shadow Black, Heather Grey, and Abyss Blue colour options. It can serve as a night light, stereo radio, charging pad, and bedside assistant. It has Google Assistant as its OS, and comes with a screen off option. An optional wireless phone charger can be docked onto the Smart Clock to serve as a nightlight.

The Lenovo Tab P11 Plus will be available in September for RM1,799, while the Lenovo Tab M7 will be available in July for RM549. The Lenovo Tab M8 will arrive later with a yet-to-be-confirmed price.
