Turn-based mecha vs kaiju game Into The Breach is now free on Epic Games Store as part of its weekly giveaway. The game originally came out in 2018.
Made by the developers of FTL, the game sees you commanding futuristic mechs to battle aliens in order to save the world. A bit like Pacific Rim, basically. Your mechs are powered by civilian buildings, so you’ll have to limit the destruction caused on the bite-sized levels as much as possible.
There’s also a bit of a rogue-lite element to the game, with randomly-generated challenges and defeats that have you working to save a new timeline.
