Alongside the P50 Pocket, HUAWEI has also unveiled the Watch D, featuring a 1.64" AMOLED colour touchscreen with a 456 x 280 resolution and a 326ppi pixel density. It comes with an aluminium alloy case and is available in two colour variants: Black and Titanium.
The smartwatch uses straps made of fluoro-rubber and comes in medium (11.8cm) and large (13.3cm) sizes. Health and fitness features available include a step counter, sleep tracker, heart rate monitoring, and blood oxygen level monitor. The Watch D can now record your ECG and measure your blood pressure too. To measure blood pressure, it uses HUAWEI TruBP, which utilises micro air pumps and airbags. According to HUAWEI, it has a high precision pressure sensor, a pressure feedback control circuit, and a low flow resistance gas path to take measurements with an error margin of ± 3mmHg.
As for ECG, it uses the TruSeen 5.0+ technology, which uses 8 circular photoelectric sensors and a pair of luminous sources with a curved glass sapphire lens and PVD-coated ECG electrodes to eliminate interference. It also comes with a temperature sensor, multi-functional NFC, and IP68 dust and water resistance rating.
The HUAWEI Watch D will go on sale in China starting 25 December at 2,988 Yuan (~RM1,969). There's still no word if it will be available in global markets.
