After recently teasing the impending arrival of the HUAWEI FreeBuds 4i, HUAWEI has now announced that the earbuds will available in Malaysia from March 27. The earbuds will initially be available in Ceramic White only, with the Carbon Black and Honey Red versions arriving “at a later date”.

The FreeBuds 4i will cost RM379, but HUAWEI is offering the chance to get them for RM319 instead. From March 23, customers will be able to collect two RM60 off vouchers from the HUAWEI Member Centre and redeem them at selected HUAWEI Experience Stores & partner stores. Alternatively, customers can collect and redeem the tickets at HUAWEI’s online store or its Lazada store. The redemption period is between March 27 to 31.

As a refresher on what the earbuds offer, HUAWEI describes them as “world’s first TWS earbuds” to feature Intelligent Dynamic ANC, which automatically switches the noise cancellation using ambient sound recognition. They have true wireless stereo with Active Noise Cancellation and an anti-wind design for wind noise cancellation and can also switch from Noise Cancellation to Awareness Mode for users to remain conscious of their surroundings.

Additionally, the FreeBuds 4i feature neural network AI to deal with noise interference during calls and have an “advanced low latency algorithm to minimise the lag between audio and video”. Other features include the presence of two microphones and a 10mm dynamic driver, a built-in capacitive touch sensor on both sides, Bluetooth 5.2 pairing, and a design based on “rounds of comfort tests based on 10,000 sample data” for long-term comfort. The earbuds come with an oval-shaped compact charging case with a flat back that fits “neatly” into a palm.
