HUAWEI FreeBuds 4i to Launch in Malaysia Soon

The HUAWEI FreeBuds 4i will launch in Malaysia soon, HUAWEI Malaysia has announced.

The FreeBuds 4i features true wireless stereo with Active Noise Cancellation and an anti-wind design for wind noise cancellation and can switch from Noise Cancellation to Awareness Mode for users to remain conscious of their surroundings. The earbuds are described as the “world’s first TWS earbuds” to feature Intelligent Dynamic ANC, which automatically switches the noise cancellation using ambient sound recognition.

The FreeBuds 4i also feature neural network AI to deal with noise interference during calls. The earphones have two microphones and a 10mm dynamic driver.

HUAWEI says that the FreeBuds 4i’s battery can offer 7.5 hours of music playback with ANC on and up to 10 hours of continuous music playback with ANC off. Fast-charging is supported, and a 10-minute charge is said to provide enough juice for four hours of use.

Other features of the earbuds include an “advanced low latency algorithm to minimise the lag between audio and video”, a built-in capacitive touch sensor on both sides, and Bluetooth 5.2 pairing. HUAWEI also says that the FreeBuds 4i has a design based on “rounds of comfort tests based on 10,000 sample data” for comfortable long-term wear. The earbuds come with an oval-shaped compact charging case with a flat back that fits “neatly” into a palm.

HUAWEI says that there will be an official announcement sometime this week, so we can likely get pricing and exact release date details then.
