On Thursday, HUAWEI had their Flagship Product Launch 2022 event. They introduced a wide variety of products starting with their next generation flagship foldable smartphone, HUAWEI Mate Xs 2, their classic HUAWEI WATCH GT 3 Pro, and many more. There’s a lot to cover but one thing that is very clear is that HUAWEI wants to let its consumers know about its health initiatives as most of their products are geared towards helping consumers achieve a more healthy lifestyle.
HUAWEI Mate Xs 2
Let’s start with their latest next generation flagship foldable smartphone, the HUAWEI Mate Xs 2. Launching today in Malaysia at a price of RM7,999 with pre-orders starting June 3rd until June 23rd. The Mate Xs 2 is the follow up to their 2020 Mate Xs smartphone. Introducing the world’s 1st Double-rotating Falcon Wing hinge technology, this allows HUAWEI to design a phone that is light, flat and thin. When you hold it in your hands, the smartphone feels balanced and light with the weight coming in at only 255g.
The smartphone will come in two colors, black with cross-hatched leather texture and white with natural leather texture on the insides of the device, and adopts both an industry-first Composite Screen and high-performance materials enhancing its durability making it resistant to drops and impacts.
HUAWEI P50
The HUAWEI P50 comes in two colors, Cocoa Gold and Golden Black and is priced at RM2,999 with pre-orders starting now until May 27th, 2022. The HUAWEI P50 Pro is also getting some love with a new Silver Blue color and a new adjusted price of Rm3,699 for the whole HUAWEI P50 Pro line of smartphones with the pre-orders for the P50 Pro starting from now until June 3rd, 2022.
The HUAWEI P50 introduces an all-new Dual-Matrix Camera design which delivers true-to-life imagery with extreme clarity and high dynamic range. With the True-Chroma Image Engine, it delivers “the highest possible color accuracy” creating images that reflect what is seen by the human eye.
HUAWEI nova Y70
HUAWEI also launched the latest in their entry level smartphones, the HUAWEI nova Y70. The smartphone will be available nationwide on June 17th, 2022 at the low price of RM699. It will come in three colors, Pearl White, Crystal Blue and Midnight Black.
The Huawei nova Y70 is stated to have long-lasting battery life and SuperCharge Capabilities. With the massive 6000mAh high-capacity battery, users just have to charge their smartphones twice a week thanks to HUAWEI’s unique smart power-saving technology. Just charging the smartphone for 10 minutes will allow the smartphone to have 3 hours of continuous video playback.
Other notable features include the 6.75-inch HUAWEI FullView Display which allows users to watch more of their content on the screen, 48MP high-resolution Main Camera, a 120° 5MP Ultra-Wide Angle Camera and a 2MP Depth Camera for more dynamic, focused and higher quality photos and last but not least 128GB storage.
HUAWEI WATCH GT 3 Pro
Launching alongside the Mate Xs 2 is the HUAWEI WATCH GT 3 Pro. The WATCH GT 3 Pro will be available in two editions, the Titanium edition and the Ceramic Edition. The WATCH GT3 Pro (Titanium Edition) will come with two types of straps, Gray Leather Strap priced at RM1,399 and White Leather Strap priced at RM1,559. The White Ceramic Edition is priced at RM2,399. Pre-order for the smartwatches is available now until May 26th, 2022.
Both smartwatches come with a new interface design, premium materials, an ultra-clear large screen, and a range of watch faces to choose from. The smartwatch ensures accurate heart health measurement as well as blood oxygen monitoring using TruSeen 5.0+ data monitoring technology. Additional features such as an all-new professional workout mode-free dive mode in addition to over 100 other workout mode settings, smart running plan and Dual-Band Five-System GNSS positioning for more accurate geographic location data.
The Titanium edition features a 1.43-inch AMOLED display whilst the Ceramic edition features a slightly smaller 1.32-inch AMOLED display. Both at 466x466 high definition resolution delivering flawless picture quality. The display is made from sapphire glass making it scratch- and shatter- resistant. It also features a ceramic back shell that has sensors for better light penetration and accurate heart-rate monitoring with skin-friendly materials allowing for automatic detection of any changes in temperature.
HUAWEI WATCH FIT 2
The HUAWEI WATCH FIT 2 will come in 2 editions, Active Edition (with 3 colors, Isle Blue, Midnight Black, and Sakura Pink) and Elegant Edition (only comes in Moon White color). It features a 1.74-inch AMOLED HD HUAWEI FullView display. The Active Edition of the smartwatch will be available nationwide on May 27th, 2022 priced at Rm599 with the Elegant Edition arriving in stores in July priced at RM699.
The HUAWEI WATCH FIT 2 features 97 workout modes as well as an animated fitness coach that coaches you on how you’re supposed to do your workout. A customizable and unique training program for runners based on their biodata.
HUAWEI Band 7
Available in Graphite Black, Nebula Pink, Wilderness Green and Flame Red, the HUAWEI Band 7 is a wearable designed to go unnoticed by the wearer. Weighing in at 16g and 9.99mm in thickness, it is a discrete and lightweight smartwatch that users have it on them for the whole day and not feel it. The smartwatch will be available nationwide in July 2022 priced at RM219.
HUAWEI WATCH Kids 4 Pro
Keeping track of where your kids go and be able to contact them without the need of a smartphone on them at all times. The smartphone can accurately record your child's location every 120 seconds and parents can receive notifications when their child enters or leaves the Safe Zone. Children can also make HD video calls with the built in 5MP front camera.
The smartwatch comes in 2 colors, blue and pink, and will be available nationwide on May 27th, 2022 priced at RM699.
