HONOR Partners with Music Streaming Platform JOOX

Looking to stream some tunes on shiny new HONOR mobile device? The brand's 9 series phones is set to benefit from an exclusive collaboration with JOOX, a music streaming service owned by Tencent. Unlike Spotify which plays radio ads for free users, JOOX's freemium service focuses on banner ads and other monetisation methods such as in-app skins.

The HONOR 9 series includes the HONOR 9X Pro, 9X, 9X Lite, and the HONOR 9A. We've previously reviewed both the 9X Pro as well as the 9A, both of which offer decent hardware for their respective price points - RM999 for the former, and RM549 for the latter.

Coupled with HONOR's affordable price range, JOOX is definitely a great pickup that provides users a way to access music streaming and downloads for free. No word if it will be a more popular choice than streaming giant Spotify though.

More details regarding the collaboration will be released in the near future; in the meantime, stay tuned to HONOR's official Facebook page for updates.
