In celebration of Merdeka month, Honor of Kings has teamed up with Sony Music Entertainment Malaysia and acclaimed artist Mimifly for a special collaboration. Her new single “Nara” highlights Malaysia’s rich cultural heritage, weaving elements of gamelan, pantun, and folklore into a modern creative experience.
This initiative not only showcases the nation’s artistic traditions but also reflects HOK’s commitment to elevating Southeast Asian creativity on the global stage. As Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports YB Adam Adli noted, the partnership demonstrates how games can embody national pride and cultural storytelling while inspiring the next generation of creators.
“Nara”, A Soundtrack of Malaysian Pride

The celebration kicks off with the release of “Nara”, Mimifly’s latest single under Sony Music Entertainment. Inspired by the legendary “Puteri Gunung Ledang”, the track draws inspiration from the beautiful, wise, authoritative, and strategic woman, and blends courage and strategy into a powerful anthem. “Nara” is available for streaming on Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube Music from 15 August 2025.

Mimifly shared that “Nara” draws inspiration from the resilience of a srikandi (female warrior), mirroring Honor of Kings’ tales of legendary battles. She explained that the song channels the spirit of Puteri Gunung Ledang — wisdom, courage, and grace — while reminding listeners that true strength comes from both heart and mind.
The track blends pop, hip-hop, and Nusantara influences, featuring Mimifly’s signature sign language in its video as a symbol of unity and inclusion. Fully composed by Mimifly with PriiBoMii, it uses chant-like hooks to awaken the warrior spirit in every listener.
Sony Music Malaysia’s Ally Siw added that “Nara” showcases how music, culture, and gaming can merge to celebrate heritage in a way that feels authentic, modern, and deeply unifying.
