HONOR Malaysia Marks 5th Anniversary, Celebrates Consumers and National Contributors

HONOR Malaysia marked its 5th anniversary with the HONOR of Malaysia 5th Anniversary Gala, celebrating both loyal consumers and Malaysians who have made meaningful contributions to society.

The event was officiated by Teo Nie Ching, Deputy Minister of Communications, who highlighted the importance of meaningful digital access as Malaysia surpasses 99% internet coverage in populated areas. She emphasized that connectivity must go beyond infrastructure, stressing affordability, education, and online safety.

HONOR’s RM133 million participation in the Pakej Rahmah programme was cited as a key initiative in improving access to 5G-enabled devices, enabling broader participation in education, employment, and entrepreneurship. The brand was also recognised for its contributions to digital education, including subsidised devices for students and the establishment of Malaysia’s first Campus AI Education Lab at UPSI.

During the gala, HONOR officially launched the HONOR of Malaysia Awards Project, a long-term CSR initiative aimed at recognising ordinary Malaysians who quietly serve their communities. Three recipients were honoured in the inaugural phase:

• Mohd Adli Yahya, founder of the Autism Cafe Project

• Cikgu Prakash, a visually impaired educator dedicated to teaching underprivileged students

• Mak Jah, known for providing affordable and free meals to students in need

  
  

The celebration also marked HONOR’s achievement as Malaysia’s No.1 smartphone and tablet brand by sell-out market share in Q4 2025, reinforcing its consumer-driven growth over the past five years.

Looking ahead, HONOR announced a National Photography Tour in support of Visit Malaysia 2026, with selected works to be showcased at the HONOR Global Exhibition 2026, highlighting Malaysia’s culture and everyday stories through mobile photography.
