Here Are MSI’s A520 Motherboards

MSI has announced their list of A520 motherboards, based on AMD’s recently-released budget-oriented chipset. There are four MSI A520 motherboards on offer, split into the gaming-oriented MAG series (which only has one variant) and the business-centric PRO series.

The MAG motherboard is called the MAG A520M VECTOR WIFI, and was previously announced by AMD alongside several motherboards from other manufacturers. It comes with MSI’s Extended Heatsink Design and M.2 Shield Frozr for heat management. Meanwhile, the three PRO motherboards are called the A520M PRO, A520M-A PRO, and A520M PRO-C DASH.

All four motherboards have a micro-ATX form factor and come with Turbo 2.0. All four are also compatible with the third gen AMD Ryzen and AMD Ryzen 4000 G-Series processors. As we previously learned, the A520 will support future Zen 3 Ryzen processors as well, but not the Ryzen 5 3400G and Ryzen 3 3200G. In terms of PCIe support, you’ll find support for PCIe 3 but not PCIe 4.

In addition, the MAG A520M VECTOR WIFI supports Intel’s Wireless-AC 3168, Realtek's RTL8111H Gigabit LAN, and Bluetooth 4.2. For the Pro series, the A520M PRO and A520M-A PRO have RTL8111H Gigabit LAN support while the A520M PRO-C DASH supports Realtek’s RTL8111EPV Gigabit LAN instead.

Here’s how their respective full specs look like:

According to MSI’s website, these A520 motherboards are now available at a variety of physical local vendors and online stores, so you can get your hands on one now if you’re interested. It’s supposedly out on MSI’s own online store too, although it doesn’t yield any search results for these motherboards at time of writing.
